ファンタムパワー駆動2chアクティブDI

本機は高品質なステレオ・アクティブDIボックスです。ポール・マッカートニーにも使用されているJ48のステレオ・モデルです。搭載するスイッチング電源で、48Vファントム電源をDC/DC変換することで、ヘッドルームが広がり、信号の質を向上させ、低歪みを実現します。10Hz～40kHzまで非常にフラットな周波数特性を実現し、高出力の楽器でも歪むことがありません。このJ48 Stereoならば、アクティブDIの定番J48の素晴らしさも更に倍です。

■PAD、HPF、位相反転
-15dBパッドは入力感度を下げ、オーバーロードを防ぎます。ハイパス・フィルターは、80Hz以下の不要な低域や低域の共振を取り除きます。本体横にある位相反転スイッチは、デュアル・ピックアップ使用時に2つのピックアップの位相を揃えたり、ステージ上のホットスポットで起こるフィードバックを解消します。

■GROUND LIFTスイッチ
ステージ上のアンプをDIボックスに繋ぐ場合、グランドループが問題になる場合があります。この問題が起こると、電源や電圧の差により、サウンドにハムやバズがのってしまいます。まず最初の対策として、XLR端子のPin-1（グランド）を浮かせることが考えられます。多くのDIボックスでは、こうするとファントム電源も切れてしまいます。ただこの場合、電池を使ったり、他から電源をとる必要があり、ちょっと不便になります。しかし、本機ではXLR端子のPin-1を浮かせる代わりに、電源回路でそれを行います。これによりノイズ問題を解決しつつ、ファントム電源が切れることもありません。ノイズが気になったらGROUND LIFTスイッチを押すだけです。

■現場で安心のタフ設計
非常にタフな作りでプロの現場での過酷な使用にも問題ありません。ケースは14ゲージ・スチール製で、スイッチの周りが張り出した独特なブックエンド・スタイルにより、コントロールやスイッチもしっかりと保護します。内部フレームは衝撃やねじれに強く、ハンダ剥がれも起こりにくい基板を使用しています。全てのコネクターはガラス繊維強化プラスチック製で、サビに強いニッケルシルバー製の大型接点を採用しています。
